Ms. Jennifer Smith
Ms. Jennifer Smith began her teaching career at Gardner Edgerton High School as a language arts and communications instructor and coached debate and forensics. She first joined USD 232 at Mill Valley High School in 2004 as a broadcast and communication arts teacher and has served the district in various teaching and leadership roles for a total of 16 years. Nine of those years she served as the associate principal responsible for curriculum, instruction, and assessment at Mill Valley High School. Jennifer received her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, her Master's and Specialist Degree from Pittsburg State University, and will be completing her Doctorate degree at the University of Arkansas. Jennifer is excited to be a part of the Timberwolf family. She continues to work with students, teachers, parents, and community to establish strong relationships to support the students of MTMS academically, socially, and emotionally.

Mrs. Mary King
Mary King is the Associate Principal and Athletic Director at Monticello Trails Middle School. In 2006 she began her teaching career in the Shawnee Mission School District at Indian Woods Middle School, teaching family and consumer sciences. During her 15 years as a FACS teacher, she was also a volleyball coach at Shawnee Mission West High School and Westridge Middle School, five of those years as the varsity coach. She first joined USD 232 during the 2021 school year as a pathways teacher here at Monticello Trails. In 2022, she had the opportunity to be the school improvement specialist at Riverview Elementary School. She is excited to be back at MTMS to cheer on all students during their athletic and academic endeavors.
